BABETTE
This standing torchere-form jardiniere (plant or cut flower stand) has been made in the Italian neoclassic style with a fluted columnar shaft supporting an acanthus-carved bowl with scrolled leaf-tips. The plant stand's base is similarly-carved with a waisted acanthus-carved socle resting on a square plinth and with leaf-tip-carved stepped edge. The stand is finished in antiqued white with hand-rubbed edges and is highlighted with genuine parcel-gilding and bronzed dark green and black verdigris details.
