Hand carved armchair in the Italian Rococo style, with antiqued walnut patina with rubbed edges. It has a rectangular cartouche-shaped pierced back with strapwork-form splat centering a richly-carved clasp issuing fruit and layered oak leaves. The seat has a loose deep-buttoned cushion shown here in deep plum/black chenille.
