“Babette” 2000 © Judson Rothschild – A standing torchere-form jardiniere in the Italian neoclassic style, with a fluted columnar shaft supporting an acanthus-carved bowl with scrolled leaf-tips, the base similarly-carved with a waisted acanthus-carved socle resting on a square plinth, with leaf-tip-carved stepped edge, finished in antiqued white with hand- rubbed edges and highlighted with parcel-gilding and bronzed dark green and black verdigris details.
